RACE UPDATE | 1600hrs Monday 29 July

With breeze picking up crews are starting to flock up the final stretch

After a flurry of front runners and TP52s made their way through the start line last night and early this morning, the stream of competitors slowed over lunch as the westerly breeze died and slowed progress for the remaining fleet.

In the early afternoon however the south easterly filled in once again and is now propelling the second round of finishers towards Tween Heads and the final stretch to main beach. The pack is being led by Zoe Taylor's Grace O'Malley and if the fleet keep the current pace, 34 yachts are predicted to cross the finish line before midnight tonight.

First place overall is currently still being held by Barry Cuneo's Envy Scooters and with every yacht crossing the finish line they are getting one step closer to the trophy.

PHS is currently led by Michael McDonald's Stampede, followed by David Suttie's Pekljus and She the culprit.

In the corinthian divisions, Showtime is first on IRC with Stampede leading PHS.
