Skandia
The equal largest yacht in the fleet at 98-feet, Grant Wharington’s supermaxi Skandia is hungry for its 26th consecutive line honours win, and a quick finish so the owner and some of his crew can compete in the Etchell Worlds at Mooloolaba, which start just 48 hours after the Gold Coast Race start. A former multiple line honours winner in this race with his previous boat, Grant is also hoping for the right conditions to break Brindabella’s longstanding record of 27 hours 35 minutes 03 seconds. Skandia will be carrying its smallest crew yet for an offshore race
