Vivacite is a newly purchased yacht for Darryl Hodgkinson, that was previously owner by John Walton.  This CYCA Beneteau 44.7 was campaigned in many Audi Winter Series but this will be its first long offshore race.  A recent competitive harbour racer Vivacite hopes to make her transition from cruiser to racer and become successful in offshore events.  Having made a move from Sydney 38 One Design after five years, Darryl is keen to race a larger yacht offshore.  Darryl finished off 2008 with a win in the NSW State Sydney 38 OD Series.
