Exile
Rob Reynolds and his crew are having their best season in his DK46 Exile. In November 2011, Exile finished second in IRC Division 2 in the Sydney Short Ocean Racing Championships and followed this up with an IRC overall win in the Pittwater to Coffs Harbour race in January this year. Exile also finished second overall in the Pittwater to Coffs Harbour series. In March this year, Exile won IRC Division B of the Sydney Harbour Regatta and went on to win IRC Division B at the NSW IRC in April.
Reynolds acquired Exile just prior to the 2009 Audi Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race. The DK46 draws three design criteria together to achieve the highest performance IRC cruiser/racer; a hull and foils optimized for racing; a specification that provides a competitive IRC rating; and a spacious and comfortable interior. The result is a genuinely dual purpose yacht.
In last year’s Audi Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race, Exile placed second in IRC Division 2 This yacht was previously owned by Nick George and was also Rob Hanna’s former DK46 Shogun.
